Dr. Ulbrich and her husband Dr. MacPhail met in veterinary school. They are the proud parents of two beautiful girls. Their other family members include 5 dogs (Bosco, Josephine, Lucy, Bo and Snoopy), 2 cats (Belle and Zilla), 1 bird (Houdini) and two horses (Boris and Levon).

Journey's End Animal Sanctuary provides lifetime care and shelter for dogs, cats, horses and birds that have been abused, neglected or have special needs. Rather than emphasizing adoption, Journey's End provides a homelike setting where animals can enjoy the remainder of their lives in a comfortable, loving atmosphere.

Our sanctuary is located in Glenwood, near DeLand, Florida. We currently have capacity for 200 dogs, cats, horses and birds that have been abused, neglected or have special needs. We hope to expand our facility, with the help of public donations and generous benefactors.
